Guide
- On stealthex.io, pick your coin and ZEC and enter an amount. Choose the fixed-rate option if you need an exact amount. Click Start Exchange.
- Paste a transparent (t1) Zcash address and click Next. StealthEX's address check only accepts addresses that start with t.
- Send the deposit to the address StealthEX gives you.
- When the ZEC arrives, shield it in your wallet.

- Who can see it
- The chain you pay from is public, and the ZEC arrives on a public transparent address. StealthEX and its liquidity providers see the amounts and both addresses.
- Who holds your funds
- You send coins to StealthEX's deposit address and rely on it to send the ZEC.
- Identity checks
- No registration. Its FAQ says ID checks are needed in rare cases, when your wallet is blacklisted by liquidity providers or a swap looks suspicious. Its terms allow risk-based KYC requests at any time. kycnot.me: KYC level 3, reviewed, nothing negative on record.
- Compliance screening
- Swaps go through compliance screening and risk assessment. kycnot.me's review says swaps flagged as high AML risk can be frozen and may not be refunded without verification.

- StealthEX says most swaps take 5 to 30 minutes. On 2 Oct 2026 Trocador's ETA for a StealthEX BTC to ZEC swap was 10 minutes.
